I started Line dancing several years ago when Ian was working shifts, I was missing our evenings out together dancing and so started to go to a local class in the evenings while Ian was at work. Then one afternoon at the woman’s institute meeting, I was asked if I would do a fun afternoon for the ladies teaching them to line dance, it was meant to be a one off, but they had such fun that they wanted a class every week. I had no idea how that one afternoon would change my life.
The next thing I knew was that I had been talked into starting a class one evening a week if Ian wasn't working he would come along with me and give a hand.
I then decided that if I was going to do this I wanted to get qualifications, and decided that the D&G was the best training I could have, I joined the D&G, and have never looked back. Ian got more and more involved in helping me, and got the nickname "'Pims little Helper", I wonder who gave him that title Brian ...... ....by this time we were dancing not just line, but partner and couple dancing as well, and I had managed to get Ian to assist me with the teaching, tan also took his exams, and so now we teach as a team, frequently away at festivals as well as at our classes.
We have made many good friends over the years, and I have never regretted saying yes to the woman’s institute ladies.
We hope to meet you dancing at some festival, somewhere, sometime.
